Additional Notes & Condition Report

Comprising eight plates and three serving bowls, each with a "W" monogram

the Meissen marks vary suggesting they were made at various times; the Meissen marks are not cancelled; ther circular serving bowl has two large adjacent chip losses to its upper rim; numerous scattered glaze imperfections on the top side of each of the square serving bowls; some feeling of roughness to the touch along the upper rim edges of the two square serving bowls, notably along the top rim edge where there is loss to the gilding or where there are a few small nicks; five of the Meissen plates appear to be in generally good condition; one of the other Meissen plates has a large shallow flake loss to its rim edge; the two other remaining Meissen plates have small nicks to their rim edges as well as some roughness where there is some loss to the gilding along the rim; wear to gilding; some light scratch marks to the center of the plates, consistent with age and usage, not of any consequence; the factory marks on the Bavarian plates have been cancelled; each of these plates appear to be in generally good condition, however, one plate has a small shallow chip/flake loss to its underside, located in the area of the foot ring; the Bavarian plates are more flattened in shape than the Meissen plates, which are more like a rim soup plate in shape; both, the Meissen plates and the Bavarian plates may be dinner plates or else salad plates; not blacklighted
