Additional Notes & Condition Report
Porcelain Bodies: each jar and cover appears to be in good, undamaged condition; some general/light wear/rubbing to the decoration; each body is drilled on the bottom at its center and also through the center of each cover; each lamp is currently wired, however, they were not tested; each is mounted onto a stepped circular footed wooden stand
Shades: each shade appears to be in generally good condition, i.e., no apparent tears, losses to fringe, etc., however, one shade has some spot staining and the other shade has an area with some concentrated spot staining; it appears there may have been some machine stitching repair to a couple of vertical tears to the fabric, however, this is simply cosmetic and not of great consequence; the interior ivory colored silk lining on each shade appears to be in good condition with perhaps some discoloration in the areas closest to the heat generated by the light bulb; each shade is labeled with a tag: KAWAHARA NEW YORK
