Additional Notes & Condition Report
Shade: appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition, i.e., no apparent hairline cracks, chip or flake losses along the lower rim edge, etc.; there are some scattered barely perceptible fleabite-size nicks to the shade's lower rim edge, not at all of any consequence; there is an artist's cipher on the interior side of the shade; stain finish on the exterior side
Base: appears to be in generally good condition; there are some patch losses to the painted enamel, most notably, to the upper part of the standard, not visible when the shade is in place; the paint loss is simply indicative of age and should not really be thought of as a negative condition issue; lamp is currently wired and has two light sockets, however, the lamp has not been tested; the two light sockets may or may not be old and original, however, the pull chains do not appear to be original and although similar they do not exactly match; base may have been repainted, however, it is somewhat now difficult to tell; there is a later green felt scratch protective material affixed (glued) to the underside
Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client, is an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact and Doyle New York shall have no responsibility for any error or omission.
