. New York: [1965]. First trade edition, stated first printing. Publisher's cloth, in the original first issue dust jacket with 1/66 code on front flap and "Publishers of the American College Dictionary and the Modern Library" on rear flap. Contemporary ink signature and date to front blank, the jacket darkened and with some chips and small losses to spine tips and extremities.
Capote's chilling non-fiction work on "multiple murder and its consequences," now a classic of the genre.
