London: Methuen, [1926]. First English trade edition. Publisher's green gilt stamped cloth, in the original first issue dust jacket (with the requisite "117th thousand" designation for When We Were Very Young on the rear flap), housed in a chemise and morocco-backed slipcase. 7 3/8 x 5 inches (18.75 x 12.5 cm); xvi, 158 pp., illustrations after Shepard. The jacket quite fresh and unrestored, but for a crease to the upper front panel, a small stain in the upper pictorial area, and a quarter-inch clean tear to the lower front panel; the cloth generally bright.
