HANCOCK, JOHN Document signed.
Boston: 25 June 1789. Printed document on one long and wide sheet accomplished in manuscript and signed "John Hancock" as governor in the left margin, countersigned by John Avery, with paper covered seal. 17 x 11 1/4 inches (43 x 28.5 cm). Folds with one minor unobtrusive puncture, minor spotting, very well preserved overall and with a large Hancock signature.
This late John Hancock signed document appoints Moses Davies of Edgecombe Justice of the Peace in Lincoln County.
