[PRESIDENTS] Group of framed letters and items from Presidents in office.
A group of letters from presidents written during their administrations, most on White House stationery, each framed with a portrait, the frames mostly 14 1/2 x 19 inches overall. Comprises: COOLIDGE, CALVIN. Letter to Judge Goolrick of Virginia, 1923, stains; HOOVER, HERBERT. Two letters, both 1931, both short letters of thanks; NIXON, RICHARD. Letter to Secretary Dean Acheson, 1969, thanks him for comments at beginning of his administration; FORD, GERALD. Typed letter signed, 1975, signed "Jerry Ford", a letter of thanks for sending an item signed by a Detroit Tiger, fine; FORD, GERALD. Signed presentation copy of his swearing in remarks, 1972, finely printed document with presidential seal, 14 x 19 inches, fine; Together with EISENHOWER, MAMIE DOWD. Signed photograph and signed card, the photo depicting the First Lady in full length seated at a Dwight D. Eisenhower memorial, visible crease, the frame 15 x 16 1/2 overall, the card dated 1973; And a framed photograph of Jimmy Carter, with his signature below the image. The lot 8 frames.
