POLK, JAMES Manuscript legal document in Polk's hand.
Columbia, TN: 7 September 1829. 1 1/4-page manuscript document on recto and verso of one long sheet, unsigned, headed "State of Tennessee Chancery Court sitting at Columbia, September 7, 1829", the document regarding an issue in the estate of one Benjamin Dorsey and signed on the verso by the executors Isaac Holman and William Moon. 12 x 7 3/4 inches (30.5 x 20 cm). Usual folds, a few smudges, spots, and a few small punctures along one fold touching a few words.
A long, early legal document in the hand of the 11th President from his days as a Tennessee congressman.
