Manuscript on one sheet of Vernon Duke's East 35th Street stationery, with "April in Paris" written over the first notes of the song, signed below "Vernon Duke/1946/New York", the sheet 10 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches (27 x 18 cm). Folds, else fine, offered with a 1950 typed letter signed.
An early musical quote from Duke's most famous song, April in Paris, first written in 1932 and performed since by every major jazz star including Ella Fitzgerald with Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and countless others.
