[all published]. Philadelphia: prepared and published by A. Hoffy, 1860. Publisher's violet gilt-blocked wavy cloth. 10 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches (26.5 x 19.5 cm); (ii), vi pp. with mounted lithographic portrait of Hoffy, and 36 fine lithographic plates retouched by hand, each with dust sheet and leaf of letterpress. Spine slightly faded, light wear to extremities with minor losses to spine at head and foot, one plate with minor staining.
A scarce and desirable American color-plate pomological work. Bennett, p. 117 --"This book is very rare and there was never any Number 2.
