LINDBERGH, CHARLES A. Two works.
"We". New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1927. 22nd impression, but this copy with the portrait inscribed by Lindbergh "To Roger Sills, Sincerely, Charles A. Lindbergh Dec 24, '27" Publisher's blue cloth. 318 pp., plates. Binding worn and soiled, frontispiece reinserted, adhered to front endpaper; Together with KEYHOE, DONALD E. Flying with Lindbergh. G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1928. First edition. Publisher's bright blue cloth. 300 pp., an airmail cover laid-in, carried during the August 15 1927 flight of the "Spirit of St. Louis" (though in the mail plane escorting Lindbergh). Bright copy.
Roger Sills is most likely a relative of Anne Morrow's mother's secretary Catherine Sills; from the date of the inscription, this was probably signed at the Christmas Eve staff party at the American Embassy in Mexico City, a few days after Lindbergh met his future wife there.
C From the Collection of Quentin Keynes; Gift to his American doctor
