1921. Vintage platinum print, pencil signed and dated "STEICHEN MDCCCXXI" (l.l.), 7 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches (184 x 241 mm). Two short scratches.
A fine image produced for Edward Steichen's patrons and friends, Agnes and Eugene Meyer, of their children. Angnes Meyer, the subject of a number of remarkable portraits by Steichen, was deeply involved with 291, the magazine of art and literature, as both a publisher and contributor.
