Frame rubbing; some tearing of the canvas along the overlap. There is a 1 1/2 inch area of restoration in the upper left quadrant of an old 1 inch tear; tiny spots of inpainting scattered in the sky. There does not appear to be any restoration in the lower half of the painting. Small area of craquelure in the upper left corner; some slight puckering of the pigment in the sky in the area of the restoration. Tiny ding with paint flake in upper center; two tiny spots in the woman's face where the paint is beginning to lift.
