Montelupo Maiolica Dish
17th Century
Painted with a portrait of a woman. Diameter 13 inches (33 cm); Together with a German Faience Dish dated 1701, early 18th century, probably Zittau. Painted with berried plants, the center dated 1701. Diameter 12 3/4 inches (32.4 cm).

Montelupo dish with glazing imperfections, chips and losses to decoration, large chip at 5pm, scattered chips to rim, underside with restorations to rim at 9 - 2 o'clock, chip to foot; Saxon dish with crackling to glaze, chips to rim, 2 1/2" chip to rim of underside at 11 o'clock.
