Two Slipware Dishes

Each of shallow rectangular form with rounded corners, comprising a Staffordshire example decorated with tan and orange colored trailed decoration against a dark brown ground and another example with dark brown trailed and pulled decoration against a cream ground. Length 15 3/4 inches, width 12 1/2 inches.

Each is in used condition; each has old rim chips, flake losses, glaze losses, etc., consistent with age, usage and handling; the dish with the chocolate brown colored ground has a thin hairline crack that originates at its upper rim and extends downwards into the dish, approximately 3 inches in length; no apparent hairline cracks to the cream colored dish; the larger dish with the cream colored ground has a large piece of felt fabric affixed to the underside, probably glued; not blacklighted
