Charles II Style Sterling Silver Coffee Pot
Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London, 1920
Tapering cylindrical-form with conical hinged cover and straight spout. Height 7 1/2 inches, approximately 12 ounces, all in.
Coffee and chocolate pots took this very simple form in the late 17th century when these new fashionable drinks were taking London society by storm. It is interesting to see the development from this style quite quickly into the richly decorated pots that appeared only a generation later.
