Vienna (du Paquier) Porcelain Schwarzlot Two-Handled Beaker and Saucer
Circa 1725-30
The tapering beaker with slightly everted rim, flanked by double-scroll handles, the thumbpiece as a bird's head, the cup painted in black and highlighted in gilt with Chinese pavilions and flowering trees among rockwork, the conforming saucer also with a man holding a net beneath a bird in flight, each rim bordered with alternating sunbursts and pendants.
Height 3 1/2 inches, diameter of saucer 5 1/8 inches.
