Washington: 21 May 1884. Printed document on blue paper allowing the Secretary of State to affix the seal of the U.S. to "a warrant for the pardon of John C. Simonton," signed in full be Arthur as President. 9 x 7 1/2 inches (22 x 19 cm); framed with a portrait. Visually fine, unexamined out of frame, the signature large and dark.
