Brussels: Edmond Deman, 1888. First edition, number 628 of 850 copies on Hollande. Three-quarters brown morocco over marbled boards, the covers with an art nouveau style strapwork, the spine stamped in blind and lettered in gilt, the original lithographed wrappers bound in. 11 x 8 inches (29 x 20 cm); Frontispiece and wrappers by Edouard Manet. The joints worn and the upper split, binding somewhat dried and with small losses, offset to half title, spotting, some wear to wrappers.
