French Gilt- and Patinated-Bronze Mantel Clock
The figure of a putto seated on books holding a manuscript and resting on a pedestal with a drum case with a white enamel dial signed Henry Dasson / A Paris, and a standing rooster, a sculptor's hammer, chisel and a carved male head, the plinth cast with a guilloche border and raised on toupie feet. Height 12 1/2 inches (31.7 cm), width 11 3/8 inches (28.8 cm), depth 4 1/2 inches (11.4 cm).
