Italian Renaissance Walnut Long Trestle Table
16th/17th Century and later
The three-plank rectangular top on trestle supports joined by a later high stretcher and carved with scrolls, grotesque masks and foliage, the ends with an eagle-carved crest within a cartouches, each on a molded plinth. Height 30 1/2 inches (77.5 cm), length 130 1/2 inches (331.5 cm), depth 40 inches (101.6 cm).

Condition commensurate with age and use, replacements and restorations throughout, age cracks to trestle supports, old marks and scratches, both trestle supports with diagonal cuts at bases, one with replacement, now with shiny varnish, shrinkage cracks and separations to three plank top, chips and losses to corners.
