George IV Rosewood and Parcel-Gilt Breakfast Table
First quarter 19th century
The circular top with bead-and-reel edge tilting above a paneled triangular standard with flowerhead and stylized foliage within columnar lotus leaf-carved corners, the tripartite plinth on scroll-carved paw feet and sunk casters; the underside with chalked inscription Lord Abinger and the number '2994'. Height 30 inches (76.2 cm), diameter 56 1/4 inches (143.5 cm).

Good restored condition, lacking 8 inch molding to edge (see photo), small section of replaced veneer below, later gilding with rubbing, old marks and scratches, good carving to standard, gilt-metal locking mechanism broken down the middle, screws missing.
