Pair of Russian Giltwood Armchairs and a Pair of Russian Side Chairs
Late 18th century
Each padded oval back within a husk-carved molded frame flanked by fluted columns and padded arms with foliate carving, raised on fluted tapering legs. Height of armchair 40 1/2 inches (102.8 cm), width 28 inches (71.1 cm), depth of seat 21 inches (53.3 cm); height of side chair 40 inches (101.6 cm), width 23 1/2 inches (59.6 cm), depth of seat 20 inches (50.8 cm).
