Chinese Export Black and Gilt Lacquer Center Table
Possibly 18th century
With associated tray top and decorated with vases of flowers and butterflies, above two frieze drawers and shaped aprons, raised on cabriole legs decorated with floral garlands and pendants; underside with X-form braces and chalked inscription 'ART TRANSPORT'. Height 29 1/2 inches (74.9 cm), width 36 1/2 inches (92.7 cm), depth 22 1/2 inches (75.1 cm).

Tray associated, restorations, inpainting, lifting, and craquelure to lacquer throughout, associated tray possibly 18th century and with age cracks, table with rippling along lines of board construction underneath, craquelure and lifting to lacquer, old marks and scratches, scuffs to corners, legs and feet; X-form brace to underside with chalked inscription 'ART TRANSPORT'.
