Of bowl form, decorated with deep intaglio graduated wedge shaped motifs, in colorless glass, engraved R. LALIQUE FRANCE. Height of shade 6 inches, diameter 14 3/4 inches.

the four black braided silk hanging cords appear to be later; the metal ceiling cap is covered in the same braided black cord and also appears to be later (replaced)
glass: appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; i.e., no apparent hairline cracks; there are, however, some scattered small flea bite-size nicks to the top rim edges, not really of any great consequence; there are some scattered small pinhead-size internally trapped air bubbles in the glass, in the making, not of any consequence; there are some concentrated light scratch marks located on the bottom exterior (flat edge) side of the shade (where it would come into contact, for example, with a table surface if placed there to rest)
