New York: Mitchell Kennerley, 1917. First edition, inscribed "Sincerely yours, Edna St. Vincent Millay, issue on watermarked Glaslan paper. Original gilt lettered cloth, housed in a morocco backed case. 7 3/4 x 5 inches; 73 pp. A fine copy, the signature slightly offset to pastedown, with the ink signature and bookplate of Josephine Schwabacher.

Fine first edition of the author's first book. This is the Jean Hersholt copy, sold among his substantial collection at Parke-Bernet, 23-24 March 1954, lot 613.
