Prize binding of full dark-blue straight-grain morocco with the gilt arms of Trinity College, Dublin to upper and lower boards, all edges gilt. 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches; [4], [i]-xliii, [1], [1]-420 pp., portrait frontispiece, engraved title page and plates after Burney. Rubbed, fading and wear to binding, tear and paper loss to front free endpaper; prize bookplate awarded to Edward Hatch Hoare, author and theologian, dated 1811; A Familiar Explanation of the Poetical Works of Milton. To which is prefixed Mr. Addison's Criticism on Paradise Lost. With a Preface by The Rev. Mr. Dodd. London, J. and R. Tonson, 1762.
