Original rawhide backed "grass cloth" boards, spine titled in silver, boards stamped in brown, in original printed card slipcase. 10 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches; xxii, [2], 1-284 pp.; [4], 285-559, [1] pp., illustrated throughout with lithographs printed in yellow and black; slip titled "about the binding" laid in both volumes. Wear to slipcase, otherwise bindings and contents are fresh.
