Comprises [BRATHWAIT, RICHARD]. Three choice characters of marriage. [London: Robert Bostock, 1630]. Half morocco, marbled sides, bound for Sir Thomas Phillips with his ink press-mark on paste-down. 7 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches (18.5 x 13.5 cm); [457-divisional title]-487, [1] pp. (the last section of The English gentleman, 1630). Light wear; CAUSSIN, NICHOLAS. The Holy Court in five tomes... London: John Williams, 1663. Stated third edition in English (though actually the second London edition, or the fifth overall). Old panelled calf, rebacked. 13 1/4 x 8 5/8 inches (33.5 x 22 cm); [24], 855, [15] pp. (erratically paginated). Boards rather scuffed, rebacked, rear endpaper with an amusing "Riddell" written in a contemporary hand. With half-title, apparently lacking engraved title. Book label of William Safire; HALES, JOHN. Golden remains, of the ever memorable, Mr. John Hales, of Eaton-Colledge, &c. Stated second edition. Period panelled calf. 9 1/2 x 7 inches (23.5 x 18 cm); [10], 291, [1]-190, [2] pp. Joints cracked, holding on cords. Book label of William Safire; ALLESTREE, RICHARD. The Works of the Learned and Pious Author of the Whole Duty of Man. London: George Pawlett, 1684. Period calf, rebacked. 14 3/8 x 9 1/4 inches (36.5 x 23 cm); [16], 456 pp; [12], 322, [6] pp.; frontispiece to the first volume included in the pagination. Rebacked, lower margin with pale stain, a few small tears, etc. Booklabel of William Safire; [HEATH, JAMES]. Flagellum: or The life and death birth and burial of O. Cromwell the late usurper: faithfully described. With an exact account of his policies and successes. London: printed for Randal Taylor, 1672.
