New York: Random House, [1951]. First edition, number 208 of 750 copies signed by Faulkner. Publisher's three-quarters black cloth over marbled boards, the spine lettered in gilt spine, in likely the original acetate dust jacket. 8 x 5 inches; [8], [1]-286 pp. Slight fade to spine, light toning to endpaper, small losses to acetate.
Requiem for a Nun was Faulkner's first publication after winning the Nobel Prize. It was later translated into French by Albert Camus.
