London: C. Brathurst, et al, 1770. 9 volumes. Contemporary tree calf gilt, the covers with a gilt floral border, the spines tooled and lettered in gilt with red lettering labels and green inlaid volume numbers. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches; with dedication leaf, frontispiece, plates. Some chips to headcaps but the bindings well preserved, spotting and toning but generally quite clean, offset from booklabel, with a booklabel in volume I, the contemporary bookplate of Charlotte C. Diemer and the booklabel of William Safire.
