George Jones Majolica Turquoise-Ground Boar's Head Game-Pie Dish, Liner and Cover

The oval cover molded with fruiting oak about a boar's head finial, the tureen with a deer head under each handle, each side with an oval panel of three hounds attacking a boar among bulrushes, the pink interior fitted with a liner. Width overall 12 1/4 inches.

Tureen: restoration to the the rim and the flange and one end; scuff to nose tip of protruding deer head at opposite side and to the bracket corner above (tiny little scuff); several short hairlines to the rim and minute nicks; blacklighted
Liner: original; several small chips and tiny little nicks to the rim; crazing commensurate with age and usage; blacklighted
