Pair of Minton Majolica Companion Toby Jugs
Date cyphers for 1867
Impressed uppercase marks, small cyphers, shape no.'s 1139 and 1140, black painted 41 and 44.
Both modeled standing wearing 18th Century dress, the gentlewoman holding a fan and shawl; her companion, dressed as a barrister, with his hands in his breeches pockets, each with hair extending to form the handle and a hat forming the spout. Height 11 1/4 inches.
