Circa 1890
Black painted JMF monogram, Vallauris, A.M. for Maritime Alps
Modeled as a rustic well with timber branch and masonry supports, applied with seven perched colorful songbirds and suspending a stave bucket from a pulley, the grassy mound base with a puddle, two additional birds, a barrel and a spare bucket. Height 26 inches.

all bird tails and all beaks restored; the bird at the top of masonry wall and the bird located beside the barrel reattached; one of these with a glaze flake to the head; the handle of the bucket likely missing; the tether rope replaced with wire (hanging bucket); the branch end of the cross bar is chipped; the interior with imperfections and light crazing; blacklighted
