George Jones Majolica Cobalt-Blue Ground 'Mr. Punch' Bowl
Circa 1875
Indistinct registry diamond for 13 September 1875, black painted 3468/30
The bowl molded with a continuous branch of berried holly, supported by the jester, Punch, lying on his back, on a mottled green and brown mound base, the interior in turquoise. Height 10 inches, diameter 13 1/2 inches.

Overall good condition; there are two hairlines at opposites sides of the bowl originating at the rim and extending downwards, the longer approximately 2 1/2 inches in length; divet to the interior; minor nicks to the surface (blue ground); the underside with a large slice chip not visible when placed and a nick to the foot rim; blacklighted
