London: G. Routledge & Co., 1854. First edition. Publisher's red cloth with angling-themed gilt stamped decoration. 7 1/2 x 5 3/8 inches; vi, 418 pp.; frontispiece, plates. Spotting to endpapers, frontis and lightly throughout, title marginally toned from tissue guard, rear hinge cracked, the cloth generally bright; Together with a leather bound copy of the second edition, 1855, in full brown polished morocco gilt with a red lettering label, all edges gilt. Spotting, ink inscription, binding lightly worn.
