Publisher's maroon cloth gilt, top edge gilt. 9 1/2 x 6 1/4 inches; with half-title, mounted silver gelatin photo frontispiece, folding map, plates after photographs. Binding wear, a trifle overopened, frontispiece photo a bit faded, some plates loose at the gutter margin.
