Taken from the author's diary for this trip, taken after graduating from Yale. He put it in book form as the manuscript was deteriorating. "... from the author's diary which he kept on his safari to Kenya Colony with Mike Cottar as his professional hunter. He hunted buffalo, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, oryx and a host of other plains game on the Athi Plains, the Kagio Swamp, and other locales..." Czech Africa p. 27.
