Bombay: D. B. Taraporevala Sons & Co., 1918. First edition. Publisher's olive cloth blocked in gilt. 7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches (18.25 x 12 cm); xii, 177, [1] pp.; frontispiece and five plates, all after photographs. Light wear, endpapers toned. Front joint cracked at endpaper, overopened at frontispiece.
Rothfeld, on leave from the Indian Civil Service, hunted bear, leopard, panther, goral and tahr in Kishtwar (between Kashmir and Chanda), in this lively account of his adventures. Obscurely published, the book is quite rare. Czech Asia p.17; Yakushi R 539.
