Chicago: William C. Hazelton, 1934. First edition. Publisher's red cloth. 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (19.5 x 13.5 cm); 160 pp.; frontispiece, illustrations in text, including some after drawings by Walter Bohl and Henry Thode and after photographs. A near-fine copy.
This is the true first edition; there was a 1936 issue, and the expanded edition of 1944. "All of [Hazelton's] books are scarce" (Biscotti).
