[Portland]: [Privately printed], 1904. First edition. Publisher's printed grey wrappers. 8 x 5 1/2 inches (20 x 14 cm); 134, [2] pp.; illustrated from photographs and drawings. A few small nicks to the protruding edges of the covers, which are slightly toned, but overall a superior copy.
Ramon Adams states that this is rare; Howes that most of the edition was 'scrapped' to a paper mill. A good account of crossing the plains and traveling the Pacific Northwest, with much on Alaska, to which the author states he made twenty-five excursions.
