Original printed wrappers in brown and black, housed in a modern clamshell case. 11 5/8 x 9 1/8 inches (298 x 232 mm); 59 [1] pp., with 25 photomontages by Karel Teige, based on photographs of the dancer Milca Mayerova by Karel Paspa. Spine professionally replaced, covers generally fresh, internally clean.
A landmark of the Czech avant-garde, and one of the first conceptual artist's books (according to Parr and Badger). The Open Book pp. 62-63; Auer p. 124; Parr and Badger The Photobook, volume I, p. 94, stating "a Modernist landmark".
