Four English and American Aesthetic Movement Sterling Silver Vesta/ Matchsafes
Various makers, 1882-1900
Comprising one marked Birmingham, 1882, rectangular, the front with bird over tropical sunrise, the reverse with bird and butterfly amongst dense foliate scrolls, height 3 1/8 inches (8 cm); one marked Gorham Mfg. Co., shaped rectangular with foliate scrolls, height 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm); another marked Mauser, rectangular with trailing flower, height 2 1/4 inches (5.5 cm); and the last marked Stieff, rectangular with overall flowers and foliage in relief, height 2 3/4 inches (7 cm); Together with a Silver Plated Match Safe. Total approximately 80.9 dwt, weighable.

Basket weave - silver plated and not included in weight; apparently unmarked; good condition overall; nice detail to decoration; hinge good and tight
