Rome: Gio. Giacomo De Rossi, 1677. First state. Engraved map by George Widman, hand colored, framed. 15 3/4 x 21 3/4 inches (39.5 x 55.5 cm). Small spot near margin, flattened, not examined out of frame.
De Rossi's map of South America, based on Sanson's earlier work, published in his atlas Mercurio Geographico. A later edition was published in 1687. Provenance: Jonathan Potter, London, 2002.
