[ATLAS] PEETERS, JACQUES. [L'Atlas en abrégé, ou Nouvelle description du monde, tirée des meilleurs auteurs de ce siècle].
[probably Anvers: 1692]. Period brown calf. 6 3/8 x 4 1/4 inches (16.25 x 11 cm); 41 folding maps on guards, all but the first (the celestial atlas) in period hand-coloring. Binding worn, lacking the title, frontispiece and all text, a few plates with clean separations starting at the folds.
The American map shows California as an island.
