Circa 1972. Gelatin silver print, 10 3/8 x 10 3/8 inches (263 x 263 mm), signed recto "Avedon," verso unstamped. Hard crease in upper right corner, two soft creases at upper center, in all very attractive.
A delightful portrait of Arlen, the great American songwriter, with his friend and colleague Johnny Mercer, another great songwriter and lyricist, who died in 1976.
