Issued by the Fenian Brotherhood to support an unsuccessful rebellion in Ireland and an invasion of Canada, both in 1867.
Offered here is an Unissued high value denomination of $500, date not completed, signed by Sullivan and Scanlan, showing images of Thomas Osborne Davis and Wolfe Tone, printed by Continental Bank Note Co. New York, exhibits some negligible edge wear and one minor corner bend, otherwise fresh and Very Fine example of this seldom seen note.
