Additional Notes & Condition Report
UPDATED CONDITION REPORT:
There appears to be professional restoration to the area with the intaglio engraved snail at the bottom rim area of the jardiniere; the restoration appears to be a thin layer of reddish-plum colored material at the very bottom rim edge; in addition, there is a small curved fracture to the glass, also in this area; this may be the reason the snail was carved into the jardiniere in this area in the first place, i.e., to salvage the piece if stress crack was observed at the time of its making; there is a shallow burst air bubble located at the surface on the interior side of the jardiniere that has been professionally infilled; there is at least one internally trapped air bubble, located in the body of the wall, as made, not of any consequence; there is surface residue and some dulling to the interior side, commensurate with age and usage; it appears someone has inadvertently left a few felt pen/marker lines on the interior side of the wall, not of great consequence
