Additional Notes & Condition Report
appears to be in generally good condition; there is evidence of some restoration, including to cupid's quiver, which is now overpainted and some of the feathered ends on the arrows in the quiver are now chipped; also there appears to have been some minor restoration to the join area of the wine glass in Bacchus's raised hand and the grape cluster that comes into contact with his head and the crown formed of grapevines; there are areas where the scattered grape bunches and vines have small losses and chips; there is a small pinhead-size blue spot discoloration (overpaint?), located on the reverse side of Bacchus's upper arm, which shouldn't be there, however, apparently as made, and therefore not of great consequence; the Meissen mark is not canceled; not blacklighted
