The sets include 1789 editions of The Spectator and The Tatler, History of English Literature by H. A. Taine, Chamber's Miscellany, James Anthony Froude's Short Studies on Great Subjects, a near complete run of Thomas Mosher's The Bibelot, and others. The largest volumes measure 9 3/8 x 6 inches. Bindings include diced Russian calf, tree calf, gilt three-quarters calf, gilt three-quarters morrocco, and white paper over spine with blue paper boards. Light wear to spines and edges, two sets rebacked, one set with spine faded, generally sound, sold as is.
